Whatever you're doing right now, stop and make these. Right now. I'm serious.
They taste like a gigantic, super rich Reese's! Or like super creamy, soft fudge! The recipe is here, but a half recipe of this is below. No matter how good these are, you do not want a 9 x 9" pan full of them. Unless you're giving most of them away.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Treats
2 tables. butter
1/6 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (I used chunky)
Scant 1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 tables. butter
Melt the butter. In a medium-large bowl combine the melted butter, dark brown sugar, peanut butter and powdered sugar. Press evenly into an 8.5 x 4.5" loaf pan. Melt the chocolate and butter, stirring often to avoid burning. Pour evenly onto the peanut butter mixture. Refrigerate until firm. (About 30 minutes. Not too long or it's hard to cut).
